Saturday June 7th

Our good old boy Lump was up to his usual pushy self at feeding time this morning. Aliya tried to carry Sweetie's feed bucket over to her and Lump would not give her a break. Mom had to help keep our good friend away while Aliya took Sweetie her food. Lump got his food next so he was happy and food was drooling out of his mouth as he happily munched down his breakfast (watch out, he will wipe his mouth on you!). Lump didn't spend the morning hanging out with Roy, instead he wanted to stand ankle deep in the clean shavings in the back of the barn. He kept getting shavings all over his head and we kept brushing them off!

Saturday May 31st

Lump got a good brushing and lots of love today. Age seems to be setting in on the sweet old man. Even though his bones click when he walks and his tongue seems to hang between his teeth a little more, he still manages to let us know that he appreciates the attention and grooming. Over the last two weekends Aliya has noticed that Lump has spent much of his time standing in the barn right behind Roy. Guess the boys like hanging out together. We always have a good day with Lump.

4/12/08

Lumpy seemed to be enjoying the mild weather we had on Saturday, he was his usual peaceful old self. However, he did seem to be a little stiff and sore in his back legs and hips. Aliya brushed him good and tried to massage his legs a bit. She also helped him out by applying some fly spray. His tail has gotten a bit short and it makes it hard for him to brush off those flies! He got lots of kisses and a few mint treats from Aliya! It was another great day at the farm!
